An HA implementation provides near-zero data loss by replicating all of the transactions as they occur to the target server. If a system outage occurrs, Datanational will perform a system rollover to the target system and the client will resume operations from the point of failure. This solution also provides for geographic disaster recovery protection, by colocating the target system at Datanational’s data center, away from the client's physical location.
HA Process
1. As transactions occur on the production server, they are journaled using IBM’s remote journaling technology.
2. Vision HA software has a reliable and simplistic design of remote journaling and built a direct apply process that is very reliable, fast and efficient.
3. If a system outage occurs, the client will be able to fail-over to a target server and resume operations and reconnect their users in the matter of minutes to maintain the highest level of availability.
With Datanational’s EVault disk-to-disk backup solution, client data is secured on the local data vault at Datanational, as well as the cloud vault at i365. This implementation also eliminates the need for daily tape management.
